| My
health and wellbeing are important to me. That’s why
I trust the team at Oceanic Health and Fitness to keep me
on track with my fitness goals. I receive all the support
and encouragement I need to ensure that I succeed. These
guys know what it’s all about!
Over
many years I’ve had the opportunity to meet and work
out with some fantastic trainers. Marco is one of the best I’ve
ever met. He will help you achieve results that you
may have thought only belonged in the realm of the professional
athlete!
Physical
achievement is only half the story when it comes to fitness
and health. The other half involves commitment, goal setting
and believing in the long-term value of what you are working
so hard to achieve. Marco and his team understand this. As professional trainers, they
live this ‘story’ themselves every day, with
total commitment, professionalism and a genuine caring for
their clients. I wouldn’t want anyone else to help
me achieve my fitness goals.
If
you jump at the chance to test your personal limits and
want to achieve an exceptionally high level of fitness,
while being guided and supported by professionals who truly
care about your wellbeing, then let me point you in the
direction of Marco and his team at Oceanic Health and Fitness.

My
name is Sandra Robertson and I have known Marco Vogel for
approximately 15 months. In this time I have been fortunate
enough to have had Marco as a Kickboxing Instructor as well
as a Personal Trainer. I searched for a long time to find
a Kickboxing session that would not only teach self defence
skills, but also challenge and improve my cardiovascular fitness.
I must admit if it wasn’t for stumbling onto a class
that Marco was instructing I really do believe I still would
be looking.
Over the time I have known him it is clear to me that he really
enjoys what he is doing and always makes sure that each individual
is catered for in his classes regardless of their fitness
levels. Some instructors teach the same exercises each time
not taking into consideration the different levels of fitness;
this is certainly not the case with Marco. He always makes
you feel welcome and pushes you as far as you can be pushed
giving you the encouragement and motivation needed the whole
time.
I
recently was asked to sit a Physical Fitness Exam for the
Metropolitan Ambulance Service as part of their standard
entry process. Immediately I thought of Marco and asked
him if he could be my Personal Trainer for ten days as my
goal was to pass with flying colors.
Everyday was a challenge. Each session was different and
fun; working on muscles that I didn’t even know existed.
Marco inspired me to keep going and always came up with
new and exciting ways to train. What I found truly remarkable
was that he participated with me every step of the way.
To have your instructor side by side you in every session
not only improves your technique and increases your motivation,
it also shows you that that he is dedicated to helping you
achieve the goals that you originally set out to achieve.
Marco
is an excellent Personal Trainer who I can highly recommend.
He is extremely passionate and motivated person. His sessions
are tough and challenging and he always works towards your
limitations and provides the much needed motivation and
support.

Sensei
Marco,
For
the record I would like to let you know my thoughts on you
and how you have affected Allstars.
When
I first started training there, you were a black singlet
and brown belt training up for your Yudansha grading.
Even though there were quite a few students that were senior
to you in rank, it became very apparent to me that you were
the unofficial number 2 man there.
Whether it was because of your military background, your
practical security experience or just your passion for MA,
you stood out.
You may not know it but back then you were a role model
for not only myself but Ed, Rebecca and a few others that
I went through the ranks with.
We used to talk about you and watch you to see what you
did and how you did it so we could copy you.
It
is not just what you did in the Dojo that stands you out
from the rest. I know that you spent many hours talking
to students about their problems at home/school/work etc
to try and help whenever you could. I have said it before
and I stand by my words when I say that almost anyone can
teach a person to punch, kick, apply a restraint or follow
a curriculum but it takes a special breed to become a true
Sensei in the real sense of the word.
As
you know, the Dojo or Dojang is a place of training, traditionally
a place or worship. A place that we conduct ourselves with
respect, humility, following protocols and etiquettes. A
few years ago that was all thrown out the window when Sensei
Rod awarded you the Sensei title and gold cross. The place
erupted with yelling, cheering, clapping and whistling.
I want you to think about that for a moment.
EVERYONE threw etiquette out the window because of the feelings
and appreciation that they/we have for you and what you
have done.
I
have no doubt that if you did not walk into an Allstars
dojo many years ago, we would be training in a very different
system today. By that I mean, Sensei Rod is a very talented
artist, there is no question there, but he is also a very
busy man and it is because of the help and support from
people like you that we as a club continue to move forward.
Whether you think so or not, you have left your mark with
us and I for one thank you for that.
I
also hope that you continue to teach MA as you are a very
passionate teacher and it would be a waste of your talents
if you did not continue.
Plus, I want to be able to write off my trips on tax. ?
Also,
if there is anything I can do to help you in any way, just
ask.
I
know I will see you before you go but I just wanted to put
down a few thoughts and send it to you.

You have taught me everything I know about Karate and its
been an honor being your student. One thing I will never
forget is when you said, “Never expect things to happen,
you have to work hard for what you want.” This is
